Andover Central packs up for state cross countryPublished by
As the lead pack in the girls race of the Class 4A regional came into view, it was a stunning sight to see for Andover Central coach Kevin Wiebe. Four of his runners were in the pack, as Central would have four of the top five finishers in the 3-kilometer race and blow away its competition, including the defending state champions from Trinity Academy, in the team race by 26 points. “It was kind of surreal to see,” Wiebe said. “I remember when they went out that fast, it was a little scary, too. I didn’t what them to go out too fast.
