K-State had several athletes continue in summer international competition with the latest group of Field, Otuonye, Rodriguez and Treasure competing at the NACAC U23 Championships this past weekend.

Held this year in Marburg, Germany, the Thorpe Cup pits each country's best in the decathlon and heptathlon in a two day competition starting this Saturday.

Announced by the USTFCCCA this past week, 13 Wildcat student-athletes, as well as the women's team, were awarded the academic honor.

Highlighting the weekend were current volunteer assistant coaches Erik Kynard and Amanda Bingson, who took home titles in the high jump and hammer throw, respectively.

The Wildcat high jumper cleared a personal best height of 1.89m/6-02.25 en route to her third career Canadian national title.

Majoring in wildlife and outdoor enterprise management, Wait finished the 2013-14 academic year with a 3.68 grade point average.
