JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Union freshman John Luther captured the men's most outstanding athlete award at the 2011 Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, which was held today at Sidney Smallwood Track. As a team, both Union men's and women's teams finished second overall at the meet.

The Bethany College Track and Field teams ended their indoor season this past weekend. The team was split up into two different meets: the Nebraska Tune-Up at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., Feb. 15, and the Kansas State University Open in Manhattan, Kan. on Feb. 16.
