The Falcon cross country teams went to Joplin, MO over the weekend to participate in the Southern Stampede Invitational.

The men's team finished 10th overall out of 16 teams, with junior Peyton Wade (Haviland, KS) leading the way with a 18th place finish and a time of 26:40.08. Senior Brock Nooney (Haysville, KS) joined him in the top 50 with a 40th place finish and a time of 27:14.96. A total of 135 runners competed in the men's race.

On the women's side, Friends finished 12th out of 19 teams. Senior Rachel Renken (Downs, KS) paced the Falcons with a 32nd place finish. Renken's time was 19:17.89. There were 141 participants in the women's race.

The teams will be back in action this Friday, September 27th in Emporia for the Emporia State Invitational.
