[Cross Country] Nooney Qualifies for NAIA Cross Country National ChampionshipsPublished by
Friends traveled to Winfield Saturday to compete in the KCAC Championships held at the Winfield Veterans Home. Senior Rachel Renken (Downs, KS) paced the Falcon women in 7th place with a time of 19:39.34. Renken finished 6th of the finishers not on a championship team, missing out on a berth in nationals by a single place. Senior Connie Collins (Magnolia, OH) was next across the line for Friends, finishing 23rd at 20:41.10. The Falcon women finished 7th as a team after winning the KCAC last season. 2013 KCAC Women's Cross Country Championships - Friends Results Women's Team Results: On the men's side, senior Brock Nooney (Haysville, KS) crossed the line 9th at 26:35.12, and was the 5th non-team qualifying individual to finish, earning him a berth in the NAIA National Championships in Lawrences on November 23rd. Nooney qualified last year as well, finishing 119th out of 309 runners. Junior Peyton Wade (Haviland, KS) joing Nooney in the top 20, his 27:20.22 time earning him an 18th place finish.
