Senior John Burba (Haysville, Kan.) was named the KCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week as released by the conference Monday.

At the Herm Wilson Invitational hosted by Wichita State University over the weekend, Burba finished in 7th place in the weight throw with a distance of 13.92 meters (45' 8"). The throw was good enough for the 2nd longest distance in the KCAC so far this season, bested only by Burba himself, who threw for 14.28 meters (46" 10.25") at the Bob Timmons Classic in Lawrence back in December. The two throws rank #31 and #40 in the NAIA this year.

The only event participants to finish ahead of Burba in the event were five NCAA Division I athletes from Wichita State and an unattached participant.
