JOPLIN, Mo. In their second competition of the season, the Friends University cross country runners took on their first full 5K & 8K courses of the year at the Missouri Southern State University Stampede. The meet was held on Saturday, September 20th at the newly named "Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course" adjacent to the MSSU campus. The course has played host to the NCAA Div. II National Championships in 1999, 2007, 2012 and will again host in 2015.
