East girls aim to break long league cross country drought

At the state level, the East High girls cross country team has had plenty of success.

It has won a handful of regional championships in the 17 years Michael Draut has been coaching, and the Blue Aces have become regulars at the state meet.

But the one thing that has escaped the East girls is a City League championship, a title they have won once and not since 1988.
