The state track and field meet at Cessna Stadium was delayed at 2:15 p.m. Friday due to lightning and rain. All athletes and fans were evacuated.

The Kansas State High School Activities Association postponed the remaining scheduled events until Saturday morning. Running events will begin at 7 a.m., while field events will start at 8 a.m.

City League athletic director J Means said all running events in Classes 3A, 2A and 1A will be finals, running all entrants in two heats and assigning places according to best times.
