The five Wildcats to earn a first-place finish at the indoor meet were Jenna Stanbrough in the 1,000 meter run, Billi Pipes in the 200 meter dash, Ariella Harrison in the 800 meter run, Tyler Randall in the men's 400 meter dash and Kayla Hannam in the women's high jump.
Hannam took first after a jump of 1.65-meters while Randall ran the 400-meter dash in a 51.51 in the final heat, Harrison won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:29.03, Pipes won her 200-meter dash in a time of 26:08 and Stanbrough won the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:13.97.
Other highlights from Friday include Ben Carpenter's second-place finish in the pole vault with his mark of 4.40-meters and freshman Birdsong Warren took home third-place in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.85-meters.
Valerie Shirmer took second-place in the women's weight throw with a throw of 15.54-meters and Tyler Sloan took second in the women's 60-meter hurdles.
The Wildcat track team will next compete on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25 in Pella, Iowa at the Dutch Athletics Classic, hosted by Iowa Central College.
