Wichita State incoming men's track and field student athlete Kord Ferguson threw 194'-3" for his first throw during the qualification stage of the IAAF World Junior Championships discus throw competition for Team USA on Friday at Hayward Field in Eugene. By throwing 194'-3", he automatically became one of 12 discus throwers that qualified for the IAAF World Junior Championships discus throw final that will take place on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. C.T./4:05 p.m. P.T.
