Indoor track and field competed on January 29-30 at the University of Kansas Jayhawk Invitational and the University of Northern Iowa Jack Jenner Invitational.

At the Jayhawk Invitational, senior Kate Dibbern, York, Neb., ran the women's indoor mile in 5:27.99, breaking the school record of 5:30.34. Junior Lisa Faimon, Stratton, Neb., took fifth in the women's pentathlon with a score of 2882, which places her on the nationals list.
