On Nov. 4, Maize cross country coach Skeeter Rankins hopes to come to school in a dress.

As a way of motivating his girls team, Rankins told the girls if they were able to win a team trophy in Class 6A — a top three — then Maize principal Chris Botts and Rankins would wear dresses to school.

“Frankly, I hope I get embarrassed,” Rankins said. “I can live with that embarrassment, if it means our girls won a trophy.”
