The Valley Center girls cross country team can present some difficult scoring decisions for race directors this season.

Such was the case earlier this season at the Buhler Invitational, where the Hornets had their top four runners cross the finish line at the same time. On the official results they were separated by less than a second.

“I would have hated to be the one that tried to sort that out,” Valley Center coach Lonnie Thiessen quipped.
