It isn’t a coincidence Kaden Griffin is running the fastest he ever has.

Every time Griffin competes on the track during his senior season at South, it’s as if he thinks it will be his last race and that’s not far from his mindset. He believes every race is an opportunity — an opportunity to convince some collegiate track and field coach to give him a scholarship.

“I just want to prove myself worthy,” Griffin said. “I want to go to college and I’m trying to work hard for a scholarship.”
