WICHITA, Kan. - Derek Racette (SR/Hutchinson, KS) came to Friends University as a freshman from Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School. He started his Falcon career as only a football player, but was convinced by a few teammates that he should also join the track and field team that spring. Racette was an above-average high school javelin thrower who had a best of around 175 feet.
