Nearly two years ago, Lucas Clupny made a decision that would come to define the Bishop Carroll cross country program this November.

After discovering his right leg was a complete inch longer than his leg, Clupny told doctors he wanted to undergo a procedure to remove the extra inch to even out his running stride. Only a junior varsity runner at the time, Clupny’s absence didn’t cause much reverberation within the program.

Still, he went through with the operation that would confine him to a wheelchair for months and become a severe setback for his running career.
